NENSA Athletes named to U23 Worlds, JR Worlds and U18 Scando Trip Teams from US Sr. Nationals
Many of our top NENSA athletes, including those on both our NENSA Elite and Development Teams had a very successful week of racing out in Soldier Hollow Utah for US Sr. Nationals last week. The following NENSA athletes were named to the following teams:

JR Worlds: For the women -Katharine Ogden, SMS, NENSA Elite Team & USST D; Julia Kern, SMS, NENSA Elite Team, USST D; Lauren Jortberg, Dartmouth; For the men – Kamram Husain, SMS, NENSA Devo Team; Lance McKenny, PG, NENSA Elite Team; Bill Harmeyer, UVM.
U23 Worlds: For the men – Patrick Caldwell, SMS, NENSA Elite Team, USST D; John Hegman and Cole Morgan, both former UVM skiers, now both skiing for Sun Valley Ski Education Foundation; Callan DeLine, Dartmouth, NENSA Devo Team; For the women – Kelsey Phinney, former Middlebury skier, now skiing for Sun Valley; Alayna Sonnesyn, UVM, NENSA Elite Team; Corey Stock, Bridger Ski Foundation, NENSA Elite Team.
EXCITING for our New England athletes this year, is that both U23 Worlds and JR Worlds are going to be held in the US at Soldier Hollow Utah, January 30th – February 5th. The USA U18 Scando trip is to Trondheim Norway this year, January 23rd-Feb. 1st.
Congratulations to all our New England athletes on a very successful week out at Sr. Nationals, including in the Championship finale, Ben Lustgarten, Craftsbury Nordic & NENSA Elite Team, skied to an impressive first U.S. title winning the men’s 30k classic. The bronze went to veteran Kris Freeman (Campton, NH) of Ski and Snowboard Club Vail. Katharine Ogden, SMS, won silver that day in the women’s 20k classic.
