Event Organizers
NENSA events, including Eastern Cups, U16 and Eastern High School Championships, Community Races, Zak Cups, and Marathons, serve many purposes beyond providing a timed course for racers. They are a primary vehicle for skier development and the backbone of the vibrant cross-country community across New England.
Behind every successful event is a dedicated Organizing Committee bringing that experience to life. Event Organizers create opportunities for skiers to compete, grow, connect, and return year after year, while also bringing together volunteers, clubs, families, coaches, and communities around the sport.
NENSA is committed to providing education, practical resources, shared knowledge, and guidance to help Organizing Committees plan and deliver welcoming, safe, and successful events.

Annual Event Organizer & TD Seminar
Eastern Cup, Marathon Series, Zak, Club Cup Series and Championship race organizers are partners with NENSA in building success at all levels of the sport. NENSA offers a training seminar every fall to support venues hosting events. All organizing committee members are invited and encouraged/welcome to attend. Topics range from event setup to rules updates. Highlights of the seminar include group work activities to build better race jury relationships as well as video review of rules infractions from the previous season, and networking opportunities. Visit the seminar home page below for full details and registration.
