Ever wondered what it’s like to rely on someone else’s vision to ski or how tough it is to double pole up a hill sitting in a sled? Ask any Para athlete and they will tell you it’s hard but very rewarding. For many of us, we just don’t have any idea until we try it. There are organizations and communities throughout our region that have the equipment and the knowledge to guide you. Are you someone, or do you know of someone, who might like to try Para Nordic skiing? NENSA is here to help make those connections and to foster opportunities to share, learn, and/or compete. Whether you are looking for community, inspiration, or cross training, Para Nordic offers all the fun and rigors of sport plus the thrill of gliding on snow!

How to host a Para Nordic event
A learn to ski clinic at your local venue can be a great way to get engaged in the Para Nordic world. Include a Para activity as one of your subject areas for the event and place it in the event advertising and online registration info. If you need equipment, such as a sit-ski, there are regional partners who can hook you up. Please contact BethAnn Chamberlain at [email protected] for more information.
