NENSA & USBA are thrilled to welcome Preston Noon to our teams, as the new Operations Manager for our New Gloucester Maine office. He will be responsible for the oversight of our membership and systems operations, including the management and technical support of all software tools, social media platforms and Websites. Preston will be the new office presence and office administration for both NENSA and USBA, as well as collaborating with staff on our many projects and events.
Preston is a true Mainer through and through. He was born and raised in Springvale, Maine on a sheep farm. He learned to ski as soon as he could to walk and would ski loops around the farm to ward off coyotes. He also loves the Elk Mountain backcountry outside Aspen Colorado. After high school, Preston went to University of Maine where he ran both Cross Country and Track. In between undergrad and graduate school, Preston built a cabin in the back woods of Maine where he still goes to relax, light a fire, and read. He graduated with a Masters from NYU in Interactive Telecommunications which lead him to teaching in the Visual and Performing Arts department at Bennington college. During that time he met his wife (also from Maine) and moved to Manhattan, where he worked at Newsweek, Nature, and the New York Times. Preston lives in Freeport now with his wife and their twins, Evelyn and Tucker. He is thrilled to begin this journey with NENSA & USBA.
