The Maine Event: Rollerski Sprints

The Chisholm Ski Club, Black Mountain of Maine, and NENSA are excited to bring the 7th annual Maine Event to Rumford, Maine on Sunday, October 20th!

The Maine Event has quickly become a staple of our rollerski calendar, and is acts as a great Fall reunion for the Maine and New England nordic ski communities ahead of winter! Previously run as a rollerski cross event, the 2024 edition will feature a more traditional freestyle sprint that utilizes the terrain available within the Black Mountain of Maine parking lot, while still having the agility elements available for fun and an introductory rollerski clinic! With the development of this event as a sprint event, we hope to make it a fun spectator event for our college skiers to inspire youth skiers, while bringing a competitive field together for the opportunity for a live sprint race opportunity ahead of the ski season.

Chisholm Ski Club is also collaborating with Black Mountain on an October Fest celebration in conjunction with the event, with details forthcoming!
