The Inaugural Lake Placid Rollerski Festival

Across the Atlantic, August is a time for a very specific type of event in the ski world: the rollerski festival. In the US, skiers get an exciting glimpse every summer of the camaraderie, fun, and competition at the Blinkfestivalen, among others, and many have the thought…what if we had something like that here?

Now, NENSA, ORDA, and Mt. Van Hoevenberg are excited to bring that concept to life, with the first annual Lake Placid Rollerski Festival Saturday August 24th-Sunday August 25th in Lake Placid, New York!

Join us for a 10 k Skate Individual Start on Saturday afternoon, followed by a Classic Sprint on Sunday, both at Mt. Van Hoevenberg and utilizing its world-class network of rollerski trails.

In addition to competitive fields, attendees can look forward to a full slate of rollerski clinics and introductory programming run by NENSA Staff, as well as the opportunity to meet and interface with US ski stars like Ben Ogden!
