Prospect BKL Race

A classic ski race for youth in K-8th grade. Part of the SOVT/WEMA BKL series.

Registration will open at, 8:00am races to begin at 9:30 am. Registration and Bib-Pickup will close promptly at 9:00am!

Technique: Classic

Mass Start; boys, followed by girls in each age category – If numbers are low, we may combine.

Timing of events:

* 9:30 am – Lollipoppers (Parade Loop)

* 9:45 – 1/2s (1.25k)

* 10:00 – 3/4s (2.5k)

* 10:20 – 5/6s (3k)

* 10:45 – 7/8s (4k)

*11:20 – Open (5k)

Registration Fee: $15; Lollipopers, Grades 1/2, as well as Prospect BKL Families race free! Max – $30 per family – Open Race, $15

Bib pick-up and Registration will be at “Nancy’s Nook”, The first building on the right as you walk toward the main lodge at Prospect.

Prospect has men’s and women’s bathrooms and has portable toilets outside.  Please use the portable toilets as much as possible, as the inside bathrooms do get a bit crowded.  Prospect is asking all parents/spectators to refrain from walking out on the trails without skis or snowshoes on.  If you do go out on the trails, they ask that you purchase a trail pass for access during the race.   Please avoid making holes in the trails!  Passes and rental skis/snowshoes can be found in the ticket office, on the left, diagonally across from Nancy’s Nook.

*The main lodge at Prospect offers plenty of room to change/gear up and a full-service snack bar. We are fortunate to have this amazing facility to house our program.  Please support them!
