Athlete Funds & Grants

NENSA Athlete Fund: The NENSA Athlete Fund is a NENSA initiated and run fund designed to match our ideals of athlete development with attainability for all athletes. Funding cycles happen annually for Junior Nationals (in March). Applications will be posted here when live and deadlines communicated to eligible athletes and coaches.

Eastern Amateur Ski Educational Foundation (EASEF): NENSA also encourages athletes to reach out to EASEF (Eastern Amateur Ski Educational Foundation) who gives generous grants to our Junior National, EHS, and U16 athletes.  The EASEF application is on their website HERE.

Chummy Broomhall Olympic Fund: An endowed fund from the family of the legendary Wendall “Chummy” Broomhall annually offered to support Maine skiers in their Olympic development. More information on Chummy Broomhall can be found HERE. Application cycles for Junior Nationals annually have a deadline of March 1st. Eligible athletes will be notified with the application each year following the completion of the Eastern Cup.

National Nordic Foundation (NNF): The National Nordic Foundation is the partner sport development nonprofit for US Ski and Snowboard for cross country skiing. NNF sponsors national athlete development projects and occasionally does individual grant cycles for athletes who are interacting with the national development system. Skiers who have qualified for: U18 Nordic Nation’s Trip, World Junior/U23 Ski Championships, and/or International Junior Camps/National Elite Group should familiarize themselves with NNF and their fundraising projects on their website HERE.
