At the BKL Festival last winter at Great Glen Trails, NESJNC volunteers built and managed two Bump Jumps that many BKL Festival athletes and family members took jumps off. We hope that you enjoyed jumping the Bump Jumps and that you might like to Ski Jump a lot more this winter. That’s why we are providing you with the following list of clubs in the Northeast with Ski Jumps and programs organized for athletes beginning the sport of Ski Jumping. The list also provides club contact information.
Every club is unique, but we share the common goal to make sure future skiers have the same opportunities for fun and lifelong friendships forged while training and competing in Ski Jumping and Nordic Combined (which combines jumping and Cross-country skiing) on club and school teams, in regional meets and, for some, on the national, international and Olympic stage.
Every Ski Jumping club also respects your current BKL club affiliations and activities. Ski Jumping clubs encourage you to continue skiing Cross-country with your BKL club and to jump with the Ski Jumping club closest to you. That will add many opportunities to your winter activities… weekly ski jumping practice sessions, weekend competitions and training events, and the Eastern Junior Championships for Ski Jumping and Nordic Combined.
For more information on Ski Jumping and Nordic Combined opportunities, please reach out to one of the Ski Jumping club contacts. If you have problems contacting a Ski Jumping Club, you can contact Bill McCrillis, the NESJNC President, at [email protected]. Have a great winter of Nordic Skiing and we would love to see out on the Ski Jumps!
