Plan 1 – Event takes place at Rikert Nordic Center following all Covid guidelines and NECCP. All attendees must complete an Event Health Screen form on Wednesday night prior to the event including a temperature check. Upon arrival at the venue, all event attendees must pass a verbal health screening before unloading from their vehicle. We respectively ask that all persons at the venue wear a face covering over their mouth and nose at all times, and cover their nose and mouth if they are within 6 ft of another individual on the ski trails.
Possible alternate formats to decrease contact: Alternate formats may include no indoor activities or dining, no indoor space provided by the venue, no overnight stay option, and online-only registration, clinic signup, and Skida event hat purchasing. Hat pickup will be no-contact. Additional changes may also include no day-of registration, possible soup lunch served outdoors from the Rikert Nordic Center cabin or bring your own lunch, and no in-person raffle. Prepackaged snacks provided.
Plan 2 – Regional clinic by state. In the event of limited between-state travel and gathering size, NENSA will work with backup regional venues to host mini-clinics in each state that fit safely within state and venue COVID guidelines. All attendees and clinic leaders will be from within the state. Potential regional backup venues include the Bethel Inn and Village Trails (Bethel, ME), the Woodstock Nordic Center (Woodstock, VT), Weston Ski Track (Weston, MA), Jackson XC (Jackson, NH), and Waterville Valley Resort (Waterville, NH). We will aim to host all regional clinics on the same day (1/24/21). The day will conclude with an optional evening Zoom Happy Hour for all participants during which time the raffle drawing will occur. Items will be mailed to winners.
Plan 3 – Virtual Clinics. If COVID guidelines do not safely permit gatherings in every state, Women’s Day will go virtual. Please note that some states may be able to gather while others may not so a hybrid option using Plans 2 and 3 can be employed. The virtual event assumes individuals have access to ski trails and equipment, and will include a welcome video from founder and leader Trina Hosmer as well as a collection of instructional videos from clinic leaders covering popular topics. The event will conclude with an optional evening Zoom Happy Hour for all participants during which time the raffle drawing will occur. Items will be mailed to winners.
