The U16 Championship weekend, formerly called the J2 Festival, is the premier event for fourteen and fifteen year old ski racers in New England and New York. Traditionally, an effort is made to rotate the event between the different states year by year if there is sufficient snow and interest from a host site. We have compiled a historical list of past events dating to 1992 below, if we’re missing any information or if you have any additions to make please email Fred Bailey at fred@nensa.net.
NENSA Eastern U16/J2 Team Champions
Since 1991, the Eastern J2 Championships, now U16s, have been the first competitive stepping stone in countless New Englanders’ ski racing journeys. While each individual race is always exciting, going head-to-head, state-to-state, has always been the real draw of U16s. NENSA awards a traveling trophy to the winning team each year.
