Race Rules and Series Information

The top skiers from pre-registration (lowest U.S. Ski & Snowboard / FIS points) will race on NENSA’s matched sets of Swenor Rollerskis.  Depending on race formats skis will be provided to the top-ten or top-twenty skiers of each gender.  Skiers will receive the skis no sooner than twenty minutes before start.

NENSA College Cup:

The College Cup will be awarded to the college team that accumulates the most points over the course of the series.  In each race skiers will be awarded World Cup points from the college results. Example: 2,3,4 (80, 60, 50)= 190 or 17,20,21 (14,11,10)= 35.  The system is meant to reward participation and there is no limit on the number of skiers.  Similar to the overall series rankings, ties will be broken by best race result as a team. Standings will be updated after each race.

2023 Winner: Bowdoin College
2022: Paul Smith’s College
2019: Colby College
2018: University of Vermont

Masters Hill Climber:

NENSA started the Hill Climber award in 2022 with Allagash Brewing to promote masters participation in rollerski events.  The 2023 Hill Climber will again feature the three hill climbs of the NENSA Rollerski Series — with skiers ages 30+ ranked by their two best placements of these three events.

2023 Winners: Jessie Donavan (GMVS), Tim Van Orden (Prospect Mountain Ski Club)

2022 Winners:  Rosalie Wilson (Ford Sayre), Sproule Love (Manhattan Nordic / NY Lynx)
