Adirondack Rollerski Mini Tour:
Doubleday (Prologue / XCX) and
Climb To The Castle (Hill Climb)
The New York Ski Educational Foundation (NYSEF), the New England Nordic Ski Association (NENSA) and the Olympic Regional Development Authority (ORDA) invite athletes to a Rollerski race weekend, September 14-15 in the Adirondacks. We are excited to make this a two-day race series and to take advantage of the Olympic venues in our region. New this year, Sunday's start order will be seeded by standing from Saturday's events - a true mini-tour!
The top 15 seeded male and female skiers both days will use matched Swenor Skate Long rollerskis.
On Saturday, September 14th, the 2nd annual Lake Placid Doubleday will consist of a 3 kilometer prologue with an interval start followed by a 1.5 kilometer XCX preliminary sprint. The Doubleday will begin at 9:00AM with an Athlete Safety Meeting and the Course Opening for Inspection. Both races are freestyle.

Course reopens including agility features 5 minutes after last open male finishes.

12:00 pm: Junior Female 1.5k XCX Sprint Prelim (:30 sec intervals)

*This event mimics Eastern Cup #4 Saturday event, the Dublin Double.

NEW this year - High Peaks Cyclery will be hosting the C2C pre-registration / bib pickup from 6:00PM-8:00PM on Saturday night at their store in Lake Placid. Come get your bib early and socialize! Join us for smores, beverages and make new friends!
On Sunday, September 15th, the Climb to the Castle Freestyle Race will begin at 8:00AM. The course will start at the Whiteface Toll Booth, climbing for 5 miles with an average 8% grade up the Memorial Highway to the summit of Whiteface Mountain – New York’s 5th highest peak with an elevation of 4,867 feet.
New this season competitors will be started based on their standings in the mini-tour. Combined results from the first day (prologue and XCX time) will be used for starting order on Sunday. At five minutes (5:00) after the first starter in both the men's and women's races the "bus" or "wave" with all competitors who did not race Saturday or where more than 5:00 back on combined time Saturday.
Following the race events there will be an award ceremony for Junior, Senior and Masters Classes based on C2C times (18 people) -- we will also have a special award for the overall winners of each classification in the mini-tour (6 people)!
