Exciting news from one of NENSA’s Adaptive Clubs ~ Capitol Region Nordic Alliance (CRNA):
Because of CRNA’s work in Adaptive Nordic sports, we were recently asked to assemble a Paralympic Trail Orienteering team for the upcoming world championships in Lithuania. Three extraordinary veterans ambitiously volunteered to work very hard to succeed in the championships. CRNA, through its current VA grant can cover all expenses except international travel. To cover international travel, CRNA started a GoFundMe through its website to procure the funds necessary to cover the team’s airfare. Out of the Goal of $6,000, CRNA has raised $3,855 in 17 days.
CRNA asks if you can disseminate our GFM initiative to your respective communities and members seeking contributions to make the veterans representing the USA become a reality. The three veterans are:
Army Major Curtis Schreiner, Hadley NY- Multiple Sclerosis
Marine Sergeant Matthew Pietro, Glens falls, NY-Above knee amputation
Army Private Christ Rasmussen, Casper, WY/Coldwater, MI- below knee amputation
On behalf our team, CRNA and I thank you for helping CRNA raise the necessary funds for travel.
Kind Regards
Russ Myer, President
