Washington’s Birthday Race (Club)-CANCELLED

Sadly, we will have to cancel the Washington’s Birthday Race for this year. There is currently no snowpack in Marlboro, and while we do expect significant precipitation events this week, there is no way to know if we’d be able to put together a safe race course for Saturday. We are calling it early in fairness to competitors and race volunteers alike. We have refunded all pre-registrants, and will roll the dice again next year.
An exciting addition to the 2023 Popular calendar – Putney and Marlboro Ski Club partner to bring back the historic Washington’s Birthday Race. Organizers are committed to the roots of the event, a mass-start community race for all comers with a separate event for the kids not up for the full 12k. This event will run regardless of the weather or the snow conditions. The only rules are the standard rules of ski racing – you have to do it with skis on. Of course we hope for (and will work hard to make) an amazing race course, but our guiding principle will be that everyone will have a GREAT TIME on skis!

NENSA is really enthused by this attitude towards racing, which highlights recreational opportunities for all comers!
This year the event will be held in Marlboro, Vermont. In the future the venue will move around. The event will be scored to NENSA’s Club Cup.
