SUMMER TRAINING CAMP FOR U17 SKIERS AND BIATHLETES

The Craftsbury Outdoor Center and the Craftsbury Green Racing Project are excited to offer a 2023 summer biathlon camp this June 19-23 for U17 biathletes and cross-country skiers of all shooting abilities.

Last year we hosted our first high-school-age biathlon camp for skiers new to biathlon; this year we are opening the door to biathletes with any level of experience as we learned that having a mix of shooting abilities allows for sharing of skill and ideas between athletes and maximizes our coaches’ effectiveness. Junior skiers interested in biathlon shouldn’t have to give up either their winter XC ski racing nor their summer ski training to experience biathlon. This camp gives athletes a chance to develop their biathlon skills in the summer while simultaneously progressing their ski training. The week will end with a “fun race” for athletes to test their skills (although biathlon takes years of training to truly master!).
