Silver Fox Trot BKL and Citizens Race (Club & Zak)

The Silver Fox Trot is hosted by the Ford Sayre Nordic team. This year it is also the season opener at the Craftsbury Outdoor Center! It is a freestyle race (by age group/gender class), except for the 1st/2nd graders, who will ski a classic race.

Citizens Race:
This year the day will begin at 9:30 AM with the Citizens Race which is part of the Zak Cup Series but is open to all participants. It is a mass start race by gender in all races but the final decision will depend on conditions. NENSA numbers are required for Club and Zack Cup scoring and NENSA members receive a 20% discount on the entry fee.

UPDATE (Thursday 12/8/2022): We have moved from a mass start to a mixed gender interval start at 15 second intervals. Start List will be posted at bib pick up.
UPDATE (Thursday 12/8/2022): To accommodate snowmaking, race time for the Citizen’s Race is now 10:00 AM
BKL Race:
The Bill Koch League (BKL) race will be held in the afternoon starting at 12:00 pm. The lollipopper race will be at 11:30 am for kindergarten and younger. Lollipop race is Sign-in on day of race (no fee required). 1st through 8th grade skiers should pre-register on Ski-Reg. Day of registration will be available but registration for a race will close 45 min prior to start time.
In an effort to more gradually recognize results as kids get older, 1st – 4th graders will not be timed – order of finish only will be posted on site. There will be no podium or place ribbons. Times & results for 5th-8th graders will be posted on site & 5th-8th grade skiers will receive place ribbons for the top ten in each gender/age group and a podium ceremony.
