The second edition of Dublin Winterfest: Ski Your Heart Out brought everything you could want from a late-February day—plenty of snow, crisp air, and perfect conditions for racing. Thanks to a string of southern New England storms, Dublin was covered in a deep, natural snow base, making for some seriously fun skiing.
This year’s race featured a three-lap course winding through the beautiful Sapporo and Placid trails at the Dublin School Nordic Center. It was classic New England skiing at its best—rolling hills, fun descents, and a perfect mix of challenge and flow. The day kicked off with a mass start race for high school and master skiers, and from the first strides, it was all about fast skiing, big smiles, and that unbeatable mid-winter energy.

Up next were the BKL racers, who skied one lap of the junior and adult course, getting their own chance to enjoy the beautifully packed trails and late-winter snow. With plenty of cheers from family and friends, they zipped around the course, weaving through the same rolling terrain that had challenged the older skiers earlier in the day. Cheers and excitement filled the air as they made their way to the finish, wrapping up another fantastic edition of Dublin Winterfest with the kind of energy and joy that makes this event so special.

We wrapped up the day with a short awards ceremony that included some very cool DublinXC hats, and lots and lots of chocolate!
