The New England Nordic Ski Association has been a part of my life since the organization’s inception in 1995. I am no Olympian, but because of NENSA, I have enjoyed cross-country skiing on so many levels: as a masters racer, having my kids involved in the BKL club program and junior racing, benefitted from technique instruction and fellow mentorship as a high school team coach, and received support and education as an event organizer at Trapps for the 2007 BKL Festival, the 2014 Junior Nationals and numerous Eastern Cups.
Now as Board President, I am pleased to announce that the NENSA board has come together to offer a $10,000 matching gift towards the goal of getting 100 people to donate during the last week of our most important annual April Fund drive. Please give as generously as you can to help us meet this goal!
Gifts to the annual April Fund Drive are an extremely important part of NENSA’s operating budget which enable us to have the financial resources to continue all the fantastic programming and initiatives to involve people of all ages, abilities, and backgrounds.

A year ago, there was so much uncertainty about how to create safe cross country ski programming given constantly shifting mandated state and local paradigms. The NENSA staff did an unbelievable incredible job working throughout New England with club partners to successfully deliver challenges and events that engaged people to be outside and socially connected despite physical distancing. We look forward to next year with the joy of delivering ski programming in a more normal fashion combined with the goal to implement the lessons learned in our pandemic year.
Please join me and help support my most favorite sport by donating to the NENSA annual Fund Drive by Friday, April 23rd, and in doing so, help us unlock the $10,000 Board Matching Gift!
